Click here to know more abou us:Bağlantıyı görmek için giriş yapın We are looking for outgoing individuals who are interested in creating a mutually beneficial relationship, are good with children, speak English on an advanced level, like to meet new people and make long-lasting connections in a different culture. The work our organisation covers a very broad spectrum of activities. We would like for the volunteers to get acquainted with more areas. Our goal is for the volunteers to choose topics they are most interested and implement their own ideas in order to help our community. 1) Educational activities (our priority) – working in different schools and teaching children English in unconventional ways, • teaching children about different cultures 2) PR Activities – helping encrease our presence 3) Event management
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
The two volunteers will be accommodated in Zábřeh – an important transport hub for the region, in a well-equipped two-room apartment with kitchen and bathroom facilities in the town of Zábřeh. Each volunteer has a room to themselves. The flat is only a stone’s throw away from the office and the town centre. The volunteers will receive regular food allowance and pocket money (each 5€ per day). Travel to and from the Czech Republic will be covered by the organisation. We will also help the volunteers with with practical aspects for their stay – health insurance, residence registration, etc.
TRAINING DURING THE PROJECT
Volunteers learn informally through being directly involved in the activities of the organization – they learn communication skills, team cooperation, as well as autonomy in the fulfillment of tasks, responsibilities, setting goals and, together with the mentor, they monitor their fulfillment. Volunteers will get to know our values, ideas and how our organisation works in general. We value the principle of learning by doing – we would like the volunteer to actively participate in all the activities. The volunteers will participate in a language exchange (Czech-English) with local teachers.
VOLUNTEER PROFILE
We are looking for independent, young people who want to work in a non-profit organization and be a part of not only the development of a community but also of a region with fewer opportunities. We would greatly appreciate it if the volunteers had a high level of English. They should also be interested in working with young children as the work is associated with being a teaching assistant in local primary schools. We expect the volunteers to be self-starters and team players. We welcome people who take an active approach to implement their own projects to better serve MAS’s overall mission..
